Nina or Katie Walsh?
Actually, this race is a lot less of a lottery than it use to be and can be narrowed down to a few candidates much easier than a race at Wolverhampton

I like Balthazar as hobbs has bypassed Cheltenham and a race he would have probably won again to keep him fresh for Aintree. just needs to get round to at least place again

I don't back many horses happy and like watching the national, but never back anything other than the £2 I stick in the work sweepstake.
And as there are the odd 100/1 and 33/1 winners, I wouldn't say it can be narrowed down that easily.

Grumps, disagree tbh
reckon that until they changed the fences recently, considering the size of the field, it was one of the best races for being able to narrow it down.

I fully expect all of you to have the winner then ex ;o)
Most people back about 5 horses and then think they are a right legend when they get the 8/1 winner.
Considering half of the field wouldn't even be accepted in the glue factory, then picking 25% of what is left is hardly top form studying.

Grumps, reckon the race has changed now though, because of what they've done with the fences, few of the key trends that were pretty decent for years will probably go out the window.
Silver Birch at 33s was one I remember well, watched it in a pub in Sheffield after some jobs worth steward had ripped my ticket up.

I'm going to have a punt on that 17 year old jockey winning it. The Grand National seems to throw out the odd fairy tale endings. Bob Champion for example.
